Eternal
Life
A
chance of eternal life have I
and
with this chance I must decide
To
end my life and start anew
and
face possible ridicule
or
continue on as I have before
closing
forever eternal life's door.
I
examined the things as they are now
and
found in my life that nothing is sound.
In
a blink of an eye, what was could be gone
treasured
love, now broken bonds.
In
search of unconditional love
I
wondered far but found none.
Giving
up hope I excepted this curse
not
knowing that now my life would be worse.
Beaten
down and stripped of pride
from
this world I wanted to die.
Then
unto me was shown the light
It
was there all the time, but I hid it from sight.
I
opened my heart and the Spirit came in
giving
unconditional love He forgave my sins.
Now
and forever His glory will shine,
For
once I was humbled, I now walk with pride.
